About Scott

Scott Seifritz (he/him/his) is a co-founder of Rochester Spoken Word, whose goal is to give writers an opportunity to be heard through monthly live reading events. He’s also a writer and playwright who has had works performed as part of the Rochester Fringe Festival, 2 Pages/2 Voices (Geva Theatre/Writers & Books), 24-Hour Plays (Writers & Books), and The Spooky One-Act Play Festival (Green Buffalo Productions), among others. His first full-length play, Denny Killington, Master Detective!, was selected for the 2016 Regional Writers Showcase.

Scott is also a free-lance editor and teacher of classes on writing comedy and dialogue, among other topics. He apparently likes to refer to himself in the third-person.

When he’s not wordsmithing, you’ll find him in the kitchen producing vegan versions of his favorite dishes and baked goods under the watchful eyes of his wife and two cats.

Fun Fact: Scott played bass in a band called the 4th Cow that once opened for They Might Be Giants.
